Plan Green Conference and Showcase is presented by Conference and Event Services to provide UC Davis event planners with the tools and information they need to plan sustainable events. The conference also serves to inform and educate campus planners on the sustainability movement and the sustainability goals of the UC system. As a result of this conference we hope to:
- Reduce waste produced by events which aligns with the campus goal of 75% zero waste by 2012.
- Increase in the number of sustainable events on the campus.
- Increase in and improvement of the sustainable event services offered on campus.
The target audience for this event are UC Davis event planners, UC Systemwide event planners and other event professionals in the region, many of whom are responsible for planning functions ranging from small staff meetings and dinners to large scale trade events and conferences.
